Well, anything by Bob Wills. Tommy Morrell has quite a collection of CD's and I like all of them. Herb Remington also has a collection of CD's and I recommend all. Asleep at the Wheel is great modern day Western Swing that features the non-pedal steel. I love Hawaiian music; so I'll have to go with anything by Jerry Byrd. All the Hank Williams collection has great non-pedal steel guitar for that style. Hank Thompson featured non-pedal steel through his early years 50's-60's that is just killer. Those are my recommendations to find great non-pedal steel playing, and the styles that I like. But there are so many old and new artist that feature the non-pedal steel and they are all great.
